If we were to have a CPA come in and “run the numbers” on our family income, expenses and life style I’m certain that it would not add up.
However, we not only always seem to have what we need but also have many of our wants. Of course our hearts are such that we don’t have “greedy wants.” We are pretty with what we have and are not at all interested in collecting “toys” that we can pleasure ourselves with during our free time.
We live a life style benevolence, more often looking at how we can help, serve or nurture those with wh0m we come into contact with.
Most recently a good friend of ours asked if we would like to use his vacation rental place in the mountains of North Carolina. We only have to get there, pay the seventy-five dollar maid fee and buy our own groceries (which we would have to do at home anyway). So we graciously accepted and will be spending the first week of April enjoying the blessing that has come our way.
The Bible is pretty clear that by blessing others you (yourself) will be blessed. 🙂
