Congratulations President Obama

Barack Obama takes the Oath of Office as the 44th President of the United States in Washington

Congratulations are in order for OUR 45th President of these United States of America.

As a Christian it is my obligation to pray for President Obama and all leaders.

Pray for the wisdom of Solomon.  Pray for he and his family’s safety and guidance.  Pray for Mrs. Obama and their two little daughters.  Pray for their protection, peace, happiness and a keen insight into how each of them should lead their lives.  Pray that the example they set will be life changing to those looking to them for their hope.

Pray for those whom President Obama will seeking wise counsel from.

Holy Scripture is replete with exhortations for followers of The Christ to pray for all mankind.  Pray for leaders so that we might live in peace.  Pray for the peace in Jerusalem.

Have faith and doubt not that God is ultimately in control of our lives and all that is around us.   Believe in Him most of all.

  1. This is absolutely beautiful, Mssc54.

    mssc54 replied:

Hayden: This should be routine for all those who call themselves followers of Jesus. Thanks.

  2. Servant says:

Absolutely agree! Need to pray also for protection upon him and his whole family.
The only part I was disappointed with was when the crowd started singing, “na,na,na,na,…na, na ,na, na…hey, hey, hey, good-bye” as President Bush spoke and left. That was classless on the crowds part. The only thing worse than sore losers…are ungracious winners.

    mssc54 replied:

Servant: I believe that some people think they are the only ones entitled to receive grace. To exhibit grace towards others is foreign to them. “I’m entitled, you’re not.”

  3. Enola says:

    Amen – well said.

    mssc54 replied:

Enola: Thank you. Thank you very much. (said in my best Elvis impersonation) 🙂

  4. Joy says:

I don’t have to like it but I have no ill will whatsoever.

    mssc54 replied:

    Joy: That’s a good start! 🙂

  5. Des says:

Just like everything Jesus would want me to do, this one is hard; but I can always fall back on; thy will be done.

Des: Most things we do that are difficult have great rewards. 😉
